Wilson County Banking Veteran

Lebanon, Tenn. – Bob McDonald, president and CEO of CedarStone Bank (in organization), announced today that Lebanon native and banking veteran Kay Talley has joined the new bank staff as an Administrative Assistant. The founders of CedarStone Bank began organizational efforts in May of 2003 and expect to open full-service offices in both Lebanon and Mount Juliet in January 2004.

“We are blessed to attract someone so popular and so well known throughout our area to our team,” McDonald said. “Kay knows banking and she knows this community, so she is an important addition to help our entire team offer our customers the friendly and professional service they expect and deserve.”

Prior to joining CedarStone Bank, Talley worked with SunTrust Bank in Lebanon (formerly Peoples Bank and Third National Bank) for over 28 years. She retired from SunTrust in June of this year.

Talley is a life-long resident of the Lebanon community. She and her husband Larry have three children, Eric Maynard, Mrs. Dena Macdonald, and Mrs. Tana Primrose, and four grandchildren. The Talleys are active members of First United Methodist Church in Lebanon.

Talley, who previously worked with McDonald at SunTrust for nine years, also joins Hank Stuart, who will serve as senior vice president and senior credit officer for the new bank, as well as Tina Winfree, who will serve as vice president, cashier and operations manager for CedarStone.

In addition to McDonald, the bank’s incorporators include seven well-known Wilson County business and civic leaders: Kevin Bay, Jackie Cowden, Fran Moscardelli, Dr. Bancroft O’Quinn, Jr., Nelson Steed, Brownie Vantrease, and Bobby Wood.

Following approval by the state, CedarStone Bank expects in January to begin providing a full range of financial services to the community with two full-service bank offices offering drive-up ATM facilities, drive-through teller window, night depository, safe deposit boxes and other amenities. The Lebanon office will be located in the Signature Jewelry building on West Main Street. The Mt. Juliet office will be in the Rainbow Center at the corner of Mr. Juliet Road and Old Lebanon Dirt Road.
