Looking Back at 2010…A Year of Community and Commitment

Another year has come and gone and with it bank employees, directors and officers continued to stay involved in community events as well as engaging new customers with our commitment to providing simple banking, simply better.

CedarStone Bank is approaching seven years of community banking and 2010 proved to be the bank’s best year yet in terms of earnings as well as an outstanding year of participation in community events.

Here is a brief recap of the year 2010 in terms of our bank being focused on commitment to our communities…

  • Leadership Wilson – Ex. VP and Senior Credit Officer Hank Stuart, Class of 2009-10, Lisa Brown, Asst. VP & Main Office Manager, Class of 2010-11
  • CedarStone Bank and Wilson County Motors once again partnered to recognize area teachers in the “Wilson County Teacher of the Year” event in April. The ongoing program has been honoring educators for 12 years.
  • American Cancer Society Relay for Life, CSB employees, officers and customers rallied together to raise over $3,000 for the 2010 event
  • Wilson County Fair – Once again the CSB team managed the “busiest ticket gate” by working tirelessly at the Peyton Road Gate of the 2010 Wilson County Fair.
  • Flu Shots offered to senior citizens during October at all three of our bank offices. CSB teamed with Summit Convenient Care and Summit Walk-in Clinics to offer this service to the community.
  • Donelson-Hermitage Chamber of Commerce “DH Dash” – was held in November and CedarStone Bank served as headline sponsor for the event. Over 250 participants braved the weather to run either the 5K, 10K and fun run that helped Donelson Christian Academy and their re-building efforts due to the May flood.
  • Be-A-Santa-To A-Senior (BASTAS) was introduced to the CedarStone Bank family and proved to be a huge success. The bank partnered with Home In-Stead Senior Care, along with several other sponsors, granting needy seniors their Christmas wishes.
  • Lebanon/Wilson County Chamber Christmas Parade – CSB Float placed 2nd in the Commercial Division and received the “Presidential Award” for the most outstanding float in the entire parade line-up.

These activities played a major role in our bank’s financial success in 2010. We are proud to be a part of such great communities. We look forward to serving your banking needs in 2011 and encourage you to tell your friends and neighbors about your bank and how we can help with their banking needs.
