Green Checking
CedarStone Bank recently launched a “green” friendly checking account product that is sensitive to the environment while offering electronic statements and a free tree sapling with account opening.
“Our Simply Free Checking account has been the backbone of our growth since our inception in 2004. “Simple Green Checking” is a bi-product of our original simply free checking account with a slant towards the environment,” explained Bob McDonald, CedarStone Bank President & C.E.O.
The new checking product offers free online banking and bill pay, e-statements, no ATM or Debit Card fees and no monthly service charges.
“It goes right along with our bank’s effort in keeping the amount of paper we use to a minimum. We have been recycling our wastes for several years and within the last year or so we have gone paperless in our executive meetings. The use of tablets in our board and committee meetings have eliminated the use of paper products and this new checking account will add to the effort to save a few more trees,” added Hank Stuart, Ex. Vice-President and Senior Credit Officer.
Simple Green Checking was launched the second quarter of 2013 and old and new customers are appreciating the idea.
“Our regular free checking customers are making the switch over to the green checking account by signing up for e-statements. Everyone that has been introduced to Simple Green Checking understands our vision and the free tree sapling has been received and enjoyed by new and old customers,” added John B. Bryan, VP and Business Development Officer at the Lebanon office.
Benefits of Simply Green Checking:
