Incorporator / Director
Nelson Steed is an incorporator and director of CedarStone Bank. He is a lifelong resident of Wilson County. He graduated from Lebanon High School and received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Cumberland University with Highest Honors. Mr. Steed enlisted in the Tennessee Army National Guard in 1971, and was commissioned in 1976 as a Second Lieutenant.
He has served at many levels in the National Guard, including Company and Battalion Commander, Deputy Chief of Staff at State Headquarters, and retired in 2005 as a Colonel. Mr. Steed served on the Tennessee National Group Insurance Trust for 18 years. In 1971, Mr. Steed and his brother co-founded Steed Brothers Contractors, LLP, a construction services company in Lebanon, Tennessee that he retired from in 2012. Mr. Steed also served on the Community Board of Directors of SunTrust Bank in Lebanon. He currently has an on-going Farming and Agritourism operation (Circle S Farms) with his son and son-in-law. Mr. Steed was a charter board member and vice president of Wilson County Promotions, Inc. (Sponsor of the Wilson County Fair), and served as Chairman of the Joint Economic and Community Development Board of Wilson County for over 28 years. He is a charter member of the Lebanon Breakfast Rotary Club and also served as Chairman of the Lebanon Board of Zoning Appeals. Mr. Steed is also a past president of the Lebanon/Wilson County Chamber of Commerce.
