Incorporator / Director
Jacqueline W. Cowden is an incorporator and director of CedarStone Bank. She serves as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors. Ms. Cowden has been a business and community leader in Wilson County for many years.
After graduating from Vanderbilt University Ms. Cowden joined the management team of Cain Sloan Company, where she moved up the ranks to general manager, and left her position when the company was sold in 1987. She most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Custom Packaging, a position she held for many years until her retirement in 2016. She is a general partner in land and property acquisition businesses.
Ms. Cowden is active in not-for-profit activities in the community, having chaired several boards and committees. Ms. Cowden started the United Way of Wilson County Alexis de Tocqueville Society. She has been commended for her leadership receiving the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce’ “Industrialist of the Year” Award (1996), the “Distinguished Alumnus” Award (Cumberland University, 2001), and was recognized by the Nashville Business Journal as a Corporate Executive “Woman of Influence” in 2010. She is a member of the 2010-2011 Leadership of Middle Tennessee class. Ms. Cowden earned a BA from Vanderbilt University and a MS from Cumberland University.
Beyond her role as Vice-Chairman of the CedarStone Bank Board of Directors, Ms. Cowden also serves on the Board of Trust of Cumberland University. She is active and has served in several leadership positions including Chairman of the Finance Committee, member ofthe Executive Committee, Chairman of the Student Affairs Committee, member of the Development Committee and Chairman of the Presidential Search Committee.
